Handling client video production requests

Going into Formula 1 week in Las Vegas, HUSTL Media had to tighten everything up in order to make sure that all of the video production requests would be satisfied.

Formula 1 brings in many logistical challenges into Las Vegas, with road detours and closures, traffic getting rerouted, new rules and regulations being introduced in the city, making executing professional video production in Las Vegas that much more difficult.

On the bright side, Formula 1 brings in a lot of business. and that’s good.

The week of Nov 18-24, 2024 is crazy. HUSTL Media is handling lighting on a feature film that is being filmed up at Mt. Charleston this coming Tuesday Nov 19. It’s going to be tricky filming 5 pages of script in rough conditions as we are expecting the highs of 32F and the lows of 22F. It’s going to be fun.

Concurrently we received another request from a client from the Uk to handle a portion of the production on a different shoot during the exact same dates.

Handling video production requests for international clients for us is nothing new and we always welcome new connections. These guys reached out to us via an email and it was all very last minute. They were requesting to source a couple of video crew positions here in Las Vegas, namely they needed a good and experienced Camera Operator in Las Vegas, then Las Vegas local on Location Sound Mixer, a Las Vegas Gaffer with a Sparky and a PA. On top of that there were some additional requests in terms of gear they needed to be sourced locally. Good thing is we keep a lot of video production gear in house that allows us to source things quickly and offer them to the client. On top of that we have an extensive network of video production friends and anything we don’t have in house we are able to source quickly. And we extend that to our clients.

In this case, the client needed a Sony FX6 to be sourced with some cine glass, we offered them Laowa Ranger Full Frame 75-180mm T2.9 lens, then they needed a Dana dolly with some tracks, and then full Grip and Electric Kit.

The key to processing requests that HUSTL Media prides itself on is the speed with which we are able to handle everything. Considering that this client was from the Uk, it was even more relevant to handle things quickly.

We made a couple of phone calls to see which film professionals would be available, then discussed rates which allowed us to quickly put together a video production quote for the client and send that out to them for consideration and approval. The client had a few things that they needed to get taken off, trim the fat sort to speak but at the end of the day , everything was buttoned up. All in all, it took roughly 4-5 hours of back and forth to get everything done but the client was happy that we were able to pull everything together so quickly and make sure that their production would be a success.

Normally this is the way we do things as a video production company in Las Vegas. We’re all about customer service and making sure our clients are happy. If you need anything in Las Vegas Crew or Gear wise don’t hesitate to reach out. We are at HUSTLMedia.com 702 980 9620 Art@HUSTLMedia.com
